Cameron Peupion

Cameron Peupion (born 24 August 2002) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger. He is currently on loan at EFL League One club Blackpool from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.

Early Life and Youth Career Born in Sydney, Australia, Peupion began his youth career in his native country before moving to England. He was part of the Sydney FC academy before joining the youth setup of Brighton & Hove Albion in 2019. He quickly progressed through the ranks at Brighton, featuring for their under-18 and under-21 sides in various competitions, including the Premier League 2.

Club Career

  • Brighton & Hove Albion: After impressing in the youth teams, Peupion signed his first professional contract with Brighton. He made his senior debut for the club on 24 August 2022, his 20th birthday, starting in an EFL Cup second-round tie against Forest Green Rovers. He also featured in the FA Cup during the 2022–23 season.
  • Cheltenham Town (loan): On 18 January 2023, Peupion joined League One club Cheltenham Town on loan for the remainder of the 2022–23 season. He made several appearances for the Robins, gaining valuable first-team experience in professional league football.
  • Blackpool (loan): On 1 September 2023, Peupion moved to fellow League One club Blackpool on a season-long loan. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Seasiders, contributing with goals and assists from midfield.

International Career Peupion has represented Australia at various youth international levels. He has been called up to the Australia U23 squad and has participated in training camps and competitive fixtures, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
