Cambiano

Cambiano is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin, within the Italian region of Piedmont. It is situated approximately 15 kilometers (9 miles) southeast of Turin, the regional capital.

The town is primarily known as the home and headquarters of Pininfarina, the renowned Italian automobile design house and coachbuilder. Pininfarina has maintained a significant industrial and design presence in Cambiano since its founding in 1930, making the municipality a notable hub in the global automotive design industry.

Geographically, Cambiano lies in the Po Valley, characterized by a mix of agricultural land and residential areas. Its economy is largely influenced by light industry and services, with agriculture still playing a role. The municipality is well-connected to Turin and other nearby towns by road networks. Historically, Cambiano has roots dating back to Roman times, and it features several older buildings and churches, although its modern identity is strongly tied to its industrial contributions.
