History

The electoral district of Calgary Skyview was established by the 2012 federal electoral district redistribution. It was created from portions of the former ridings of [[Calgary East]] and [[Calgary North East]]. The intent behind its creation was to account for the rapid population growth in Calgary's northeast, which necessitated the addition of a new electoral district to ensure fair representation in the [[House of Commons of Canada]]. The new boundaries came into effect for the 42nd Canadian general election in 2015.

Demographics

Calgary Skyview is known for its high level of diversity, with a significant proportion of its population being recent immigrants. It has a younger demographic profile compared to the national average, reflecting the growth of young families in its suburban communities. The riding is home to a wide range of ethnic and linguistic groups.
