Cañada College is a public community college located in Redwood City, California. Established in 1968, it is one of three colleges in the San Mateo County Community College District, alongside the College of San Mateo and Skyline College.
The campus occupies a 429-acre site in the western foothills of Redwood City. The institution provides lower-division academic courses, vocational training, and associate degrees in various fields of study. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Cañada College is designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) by the United States Department of Education. The college also hosts a University Center, which partners with four-year institutions to offer select bachelor's degree programs on the community college campus. Its curriculum is designed to facilitate transfer to the California State University and University of California systems, as well as private and out-of-state universities.
