César Curiel

César Curiel (born August 19, 1999) is a Mexican professional baseball infielder. He has played in the minor league systems of Major League Baseball (MLB) organizations.

Early Life and Professional Debut Curiel was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. His professional baseball career began when he signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in July 2016. He spent several seasons developing within the Cubs' minor league system, playing for various affiliates across different levels.

Atlanta Braves Organization In December 2022, Curiel was traded to the Atlanta Braves as part of a minor league transaction. He continued his professional development within the Braves' organization, primarily playing for their Single-A and High-A affiliates, which included teams such as the Augusta GreenJackets and the Rome Braves.

Playing Style Known for his defensive versatility, Curiel has primarily played shortstop and second base throughout his minor league career. He is recognized for his strong glove and range in the infield. Offensively, he is a switch-hitter, capable of batting from both sides of the plate.
