Busunzu is an administrative ward within Muhambwe Constituency in Kibondo District (now part of Buhigwe District) of Kigoma Region in Tanzania. According to the 2016 Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report, the ward had a population of 26,342 people, up from 23,932 in 2012. Its postcode is 47406.
The ward is divided into two villages — Busunzu and Nyakwi — which together contain 19 hamlets. The hamlets within Busunzu village include Kabegera, Kadida, Kazaroho, Kolimba, Mandela, Mbugani, Nyamuguruma A, Nyamuguruma B, and Samora. The hamlets within Nyakwi village include Karume, Mandela, Mtakuja, Mtuntu, Nyarulanga, Nyerere, Samora, Sokoine, Songambele, and Vumilia.
