Bruce Perkins

Bruce Perkins (born May 14, 1967) is an American former professional football player and collegiate coach. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Indianapolis Colts during the 1991 season, appearing in 11 games and recording 12 rushing attempts for 38 yards. Perkins entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent after a collegiate career at the University of Central Arkansas, where he was a standout running back and earned All‑Southland Conference honors.

Following his brief professional playing career, Perkins transitioned to coaching. He served as a running backs coach at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) from 2005 to 2008, contributing to the development of the Thunderbirds' rushing attack. Perkins later held assistant coaching positions at other institutions, including a stint as a special teams coordinator at the University of Central Arkansas.

Perkins is also noted for his familial connections to football; he is the father of Bryce Perkins, a former quarterback at the University of Arizona and Virginia Tech who later played in the NFL.
