Bruce Ayers

Bruce C. Ayers (born August 6, 1958) is an American politician who has served as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2003. He represents the 8th Plymouth district, which includes parts of Brockton and East Bridgewater, and is affiliated with the Democratic Party.

Early life and education
Ayers was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts. He attended local public schools and later pursued post‑secondary education at Massasoit Community College.

Career
Prior to his election to the state legislature, Ayers served on the Brockton City Council from 1995 until his election to the House of Representatives in 2003. In addition to his political career, he is a small‑business owner, operating a metal‑working enterprise in Brockton.

Legislative service
Since taking office, Ayers has been re‑elected in each subsequent biennial election. During his tenure he has served on several House committees, including the Joint Committee on Transportation and the Committee on Ways and Means (sub‑committee). His legislative interests have focused on transportation infrastructure, public safety, and economic development within his district.

Personal life
Ayers is married and has children. He remains a resident of Brockton and is active in local community organizations.
