Borys Pavlovych Tereshchuk (Ukrainian: Борис Павлович Терещук; March 18, 1945 – June 13, 2011) was a Soviet and Ukrainian basketball player. He is most notably recognized for his achievement as a silver medalist with the Soviet Union national team at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
Born in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, Tereshchuk dedicated a significant portion of his professional career to playing for BC Budivelnyk, a renowned basketball club based in his hometown of Kyiv. He was known for his versatility on the court, capable of playing both as a guard and a small forward.
Tereshchuk's international career highlight came at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Representing the Soviet Union, he played a crucial role in the team's journey to the Olympic final. The Soviet team faced the United States in a memorable and controversial gold medal game, ultimately securing a silver medal. This achievement cemented his place in Soviet and Ukrainian sports history.
Throughout his playing career, Tereshchuk was recognized for his talent and commitment to the sport, earning the prestigious title of Master of Sports of the USSR, international class. He passed away in Kyiv, Ukraine, at the age of 66.
