Boiling Point (1993 film)

Boiling Point is a 1993 American neo-noir action crime film written and directed by James B. Harris, starring Wesley Snipes, Dennis Hopper, Lolita Davidovich, and Viggo Mortensen. The film is a loose adaptation of two novels by Gerald Petievich: his 1980 novel Boiling Point and his 1983 novel Money Men.

The film follows Jimmy Mercer (Snipes), a Treasury agent who is relentlessly pursuing a con artist and killer named Red Diamond (Hopper). Diamond is desperate for cash to pay off his debts and makes a deal to rob a bank. Mercer's personal life and professional life become increasingly intertwined as he closes in on Diamond, leading to a violent and suspenseful confrontation.

The film explores themes of desperation, morality, and the blurring lines between law enforcement and the criminals they pursue. It received mixed reviews upon its release.
