Bohuslav Pilný

Bohuslav Pilný (born April 18, 1949) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman. He spent the majority of his club career with HC Dynamo Pardubice in the Czechoslovak Extraliga and was a prominent member of the Czechoslovakia national ice hockey team during the 1970s, contributing to multiple Olympic and World Championship medals.

Early Life and Club Career Pilný was born on April 18, 1949, in Hradec Králové, Czechoslovakia. He developed into a skilled defenceman known for his strong defensive play and leadership. His career was most closely associated with HC Dynamo Pardubice (then known as Tesla Pardubice), where he played for many seasons. With Pardubice, he achieved the pinnacle of Czechoslovak club hockey, winning the Czechoslovak Extraliga championship in 1973.

International Career Pilný's international career was highly successful, representing Czechoslovakia at numerous major tournaments during a golden era for Czechoslovak hockey.
