Bodai Dam

The Bodai Dam (Japanese: 棒谷ダム, Bōdai Damu) is a concrete gravity dam located in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. It is situated on the Shomyo River (称名川), which is a tributary of the larger Jyoganji River (常願寺川).

Constructed primarily for hydroelectric power generation, the dam was completed in 1957. It is operated by the Hokuriku Electric Power Company (北陸電力). The Bodai Dam contributes to the regional energy supply through its associated power plant facilities.
