Bloom Into You

Definition
Bloom Into You (Japanese: やがて君になる, Hepburn: Yagate Kimi ni Naru) is a Japanese yuri (girls‑love) manga series created by Nio Nakatani. It has been adapted into an anime television series and various ancillary media.

Overview
The manga was serialized in the seinen magazine Comic Beam (Enterbrain) from April 2015 to September 2019. It was compiled into eight tankōbon volumes. The story follows high school student Yuu Koito, who has long been curious about romantic love, and her classmate, the aloof and popular student Touko Nanami, as they navigate their evolving relationship and personal identities.

An anime television adaptation produced by studio Troyca aired in Japan from October 6 to December 22 2018, spanning 13 episodes plus a single OVA. The series was directed by Makoto Katō, with series composition by Mari Okada and character design by Yūichi Takahashi. International streaming rights were acquired by Funimation (later transferred to Crunchyroll). In North America, the manga has been licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.

Etymology / Origin
The original Japanese title, Yagate Kimi ni Naru, literally translates to “Eventually, I’ll Become You” or “I’ll Become You Eventually.” The official English title, Bloom Into You, was chosen for its evocative connotation of personal growth and the blooming of romantic feelings, rather than being a direct translation.
