Binstead

Binstead is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It lies approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Alton. The parish includes the hamlets of Honey Lane, Kingsleys and Worldham.

The name "Binstead" is thought to derive from the Old English "bean-stede," meaning "bean place" or "bean farm." Historically, the area was primarily agricultural.

The village has a church, All Saints' Church, which dates back to the 12th century. Binstead also includes a primary school. Local amenities are limited, with most residents relying on nearby Alton for services and shopping. The surrounding countryside is characterized by farmland and woodland.
