Emerging on the American music scene in the mid-1960s, Billy Boyce established himself as a soul vocalist with a distinctive smooth vocal delivery characteristic of the era's R&B sound. He released several singles during his active period. His most widely recognized recording is often cited as "Just Keep On Loving Me," released in 1964. This track, along with others such as "What Do You Want From Me" and "I'll Be There (To Guide You)," showcases his contribution to the soul genre.
