Bill Stromberg

William J. "Bill" Stromberg is an American business executive who served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the global investment management firm T. Rowe Price Group, Inc.

[[Biography]] Stromberg had a long and distinguished career with T. Rowe Price, spanning over three decades. He joined the Baltimore-based firm in 1987 as an equity analyst. Over the years, he advanced through various leadership roles, gaining extensive experience across the firm's investment and business operations.

He was named head of U.S. equity in 1996 and head of equity in 2004, overseeing all of T. Rowe Price's equity investment strategies. His leadership in these roles was instrumental in guiding the firm's investment research and portfolio management capabilities.

In 2016, Stromberg was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of T. Rowe Price, succeeding James A. C. Kennedy. He later also assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2019. During his tenure as CEO and Chairman, Stromberg focused on strategic initiatives to expand the firm's global presence, enhance its technological infrastructure, and continue its commitment to fundamental investment research and client service. He navigated the firm through periods of significant market change and technological evolution within the asset management industry.

Stromberg retired from his role as CEO and President on December 31, 2021, and from his position as Chairman of the Board on June 30, 2022. He was succeeded as CEO and President by Rob Sharps.
