Bill G. Schuette

Bill G. Schuette is an American politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 95th District. A member of the Republican Party, he assumed office on January 1, 2023, following his election in November 2022. The 95th District encompasses the city of Midland and several townships within Midland and Gladwin counties.

Schuette is the son of Bill Schuette, the former Attorney General of Michigan and a former member of the United States House of Representatives. He frequently utilizes his middle initial in professional and political contexts to distinguish himself from his father.

Prior to his career in the state legislature, Schuette attended Georgetown University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and the University of Chicago Law School, where he obtained a Juris Doctor. His professional background includes service as an intelligence officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), where he focused on counterterrorism. He also worked as an attorney in private practice.
