Geography
Bhatgaon lies in the northern part of Chhattisgarh, approximately 90 km north‑east of the state capital Raipur and about 12 km south of the district headquarters, Surajpur town. The town is situated at an elevation of roughly 250 metres (820 ft) above sea level. The terrain is characterized by a mixture of plateau, lateritic soil, and scattered forest cover typical of the region.
