Beverly Sanders

Beverly Sanders (born September 2, 1939, in Hollywood, California) is an American actress, comedian, and voice artist with a career spanning over six decades in television, film, and commercials.

Biography

Sanders studied at the Actors Studio under Lee Strasberg in New York before beginning her on-screen career. She made her television debut in the early 1960s and went on to appear in more than 300 TV commercials, most notably as the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda spokesperson "Louise" for nearly a decade.

She is married to Harvey Newmark, first bass violist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. They have one child.

In the 1990s, Sanders wrote and performed a one-woman stage show titled Yes Sir, That's My Baby, which she developed after taking a writing class at UCLA. The play chronicles her struggles with infertility and the frustrations of the adoption process.

Television Career

Sanders was a series regular on the NBC sitcom Lotsa Luck (1973–1974), starring opposite Dom DeLuise. She also had a recurring role on C.P.O. Sharkey (1977–1978) as Chief Petty Officer Gypsy Koch, appearing in three episodes alongside Don Rickles.
