Berry Good

Berry Good (Hangul: 베리굿) is a South Korean girl group that was formed by Asia Entertainment and later managed by JTG Entertainment. The group debuted on November 25 2014 with the digital single “Love Letter,” and it was marketed as a “fruit-themed” ensemble, each member representing a different fruit.

History

• 2014–2015: Formation and debut
  Berry Good originally comprised five members: Subin, Iera, Nayeon, Taeha, and Sehyung. The group’s concept emphasized a youthful, “fresh” image, and they released a series of singles, including “Love Letter,” “Angel,” and “I Believe.”

• 2016–2017: Line‑up changes
  In early 2016, members Subin and Nayeon departed from the group. They were replaced by former K‑pop trainees Johyun and Seojin, expanding the lineup to six members. The revised formation released the EP Bung and the digital single “Ring My Bell.”

• 2018–2020: Further reconfiguration
  The group underwent additional changes when members Taeha, Sehyung, and Johyun left the agency. Remaining members Iera, Seojin, and two new members, Harin and Seul‑hyeon, continued activities under the rebranded agency JTG Entertainment. During this period, Berry Good released the single “Betchi” and the mini‑album Love (2020).

• 2021: Disbandment
  In early 2021, the agency announced the termination of Berry Good’s exclusive contract, effectively resulting in the group’s disbandment. The former members have since pursued individual careers in acting, modeling, and solo music projects.

Musical style and reception

Berry Good’s repertoire blended elements of pop, dance, and synth‑pop, often incorporating bright, melodic hooks aligned with the group’s “fruit” concept. While the group maintained a modest fanbase domestically, it did not achieve mainstream chart dominance on major Korean music rankings such as Gaon or Melon.
