Bernard Rudden (1933 – 16 July 2015) was a British legal scholar noted for his contributions to the study of European Union law and the constitutional law of the United Kingdom.
Education and Academic Career
Rudden earned his undergraduate degree in jurisprudence at the University of Oxford, subsequently completing a BCL (Bachelor of Civil Law). He began his academic career as a lecturer in law at Oxford, later being appointed Professor of Law. He was a Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford, where he taught and supervised research in public and international law for several decades.
