Bennie Lenox (March 31 1941 – March 22 2015) was an American basketball player known for his collegiate career with the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Early life and education
Lenox was born in Glasgow, Kentucky. He attended Glasgow High School, where he excelled in basketball and earned All‑State honors.
College career
From 1960 to 1963, Lenox played as a guard for the Kentucky Wildcats. During his tenure, he contributed to the Wildcats’ appearances in the NCAA Tournament and was recognized for his defensive and play‑making abilities. In his senior season (1962–63), Lenox received first‑team All‑Southeastern Conference (SEC) honors.
Professional prospects
Following his college career, Lenox was selected in the sixth round of the 1963 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He did not appear in any regular‑season NBA games.
