Benediction is the 21st episode of the third season of the American supernatural drama television series Angel, and the 65th episode overall in the series. It was written and directed by Tim Minear, and originally aired on May 13, 2002, on The WB network.
Plot Summary: After a violent reunion, Angel finds himself battling vampires alongside his now-teenaged son Connor (who wishes to be called "Steven"). Meanwhile, Fred and Gunn distract Connor so Angel can confront Daniel Holtz for stealing his son. Cordelia, now partially demonic, uses her powers to release the darkness and trauma from Connor's time in the hell dimension Quor-Toth. Holtz, having decided to let go of Connor, instructs his ally Justine to kill him. She stabs him twice in the neck with an ice pick, and Connor discovers Holtz's body, mistakenly believing that Angelus (Angel's vampire alter ego) is responsible.
