Barton Koch (1907–1964) was an American football player who achieved prominence as a guard for Baylor University. In 1930, Koch became the first player in the history of the Baylor Bears football program to be named a consensus All-American.
Known by the nickname "Botch," Koch played professional football briefly in the early 1930s for teams including the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Badgers. His collegiate performance led to his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1967. Records indicate that Koch was born in Temple, Texas, and he is frequently cited in sports history as one of the premier offensive linemen of his era.
