Baron Hamilton of Strabane is a hereditary title in the Peerage of Ireland. The title was created on 13 September 1617 for James Hamilton, who simultaneously held the Scottish title of Earl of Abercorn (created 1606). Consequently, the barony became a subsidiary title of the Earl of Abercorn and has been inherited together with the earldom ever since.

Subsequent Earls of Abercorn have also borne the title Baron Hamilton of Strabane. The title does not have an independent line of succession; it follows the inheritance rules of the earldom of Abercorn.
Current Status
As the barony is a subsidiary title attached to the earldom of Abercorn, it remains extant so long as the earldom is extant. The present holder of the earldom (and thus the barony) is the 13th Earl of Abercorn, James Hamilton, who succeeded to the titles in 2004.
