Bandits was a Belgian pop/rock band primarily active in the early 2010s, best known for representing Belgium in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
History and Formation The band was formed in 2011 and consisted of five members: Ineke Van Vooren (vocals), Jonatan Michiels (guitar), Thomas Cerpentier (bass guitar), Jasper Publie (drums), and Toon Smet (keyboards).
Junior Eurosong and Eurovision Participation In 2012, Bandits participated in Junior Eurosong 2012, the Belgian national selection competition to determine the country's representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They emerged victorious with their song "Voor Eeuwig" (Forever), earning the right to represent Belgium on the international stage.
The band subsequently competed in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012, which was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on December 1, 2012. Bandits performed their song "Voor Eeuwig" and finished in last place among the 12 participating countries, receiving a total of 13 points.
