Babe was a Dutch all-female pop group, active from 1979 to 1986. The group was known for their catchy pop songs, choreographed dance routines, and glamorous appearance.
The original lineup consisted of Gemma van Eck, Marga Bult (who later pursued a solo career and represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest), and Ria Thielsch. Later members included Monique Hageman and Joke de Vries.
Babe achieved considerable success in the Netherlands and parts of Europe, particularly in the early 1980s. Their hits included songs like "Give Me a Break," "The Drunken Sailor," "Wonderboy," and "Together in Love Again."
The group disbanded in 1986. While some members continued in the music industry in various capacities, Babe is primarily remembered as a popular and commercially successful Dutch pop act of the early 1980s.
