Baba Budangiri

Baba Budangiri, also spelled Baba Budan Giri, is a mountain range in the Chikkamagaluru district of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. The range forms part of the Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a recognized biodiversity hotspot.

Geography

  • The Baba Budangiri hills rise to an elevation of approximately 1,800 m (5,900 ft) above sea level.
  • The range lies between the towns of Chikkamagaluru and Sringeri and is traversed by the Bhadra River basin.
