Bąkówka is a village located in the administrative district of Gmina Żabia Wola, within Grodzisk Mazowiecki County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It is situated approximately 4 kilometers (2 miles) southeast of Żabia Wola, 12 kilometers (7 miles) southeast of Grodzisk Mazowiecki, and 30 kilometers (19 miles) southwest of Warsaw.
Administrative History Following the administrative reforms of 1999, Bąkówka became part of the Masovian Voivodeship. Prior to this, between 1975 and 1998, the village was under the jurisdiction of the Warsaw Voivodeship. The settlement is governed as part of the rural municipality (gmina) of Żabia Wola.
Geography and Character The village is characterized by a rural and residential landscape, typical of the Masovian Plain. It serves primarily as a residential area for local inhabitants and, increasingly, as a location for suburban housing due to its relative proximity to the Warsaw metropolitan area.
