Aviv Geffen (born 1973) is an Israeli singer‑songwriter, musician, and record producer known for his contributions to rock and alternative music in Israel and internationally. He is the son of noted Israeli poet and lyricist Yehonatan Geffen. Geffen began his solo career in the early 1990s, gaining prominence with his debut album Ha'Bait Shel Ha'Neshiga (1994) and subsequent releases such as Shak (1995) and Mabul (1996). His style blends rock, pop, and electronic elements, often featuring introspective lyrics that address personal, social, and political themes.
In the mid‑2000s, Geffen co‑founded the Anglo‑Israeli progressive rock project Blackfield with British musician Steven Wilson. Blackfield released several studio albums, including Blackfield (2004), Blackfield II (2007), and Blackfield III (2014), achieving critical acclaim and a following in both Europe and Israel.
