Augusta Kochanowska

Kochanowska received her artistic training in major European art centers. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich before continuing her education at the Académie Julian in Paris, a significant institution that provided extensive training for women artists. Upon her return to Poland, Kochanowska became an active participant in the nation's cultural life. She frequently exhibited her works in important Polish cities, including Kraków, Warsaw, and Lwów, and also gained international recognition through exhibitions in Berlin, Munich, and Vienna. Her paintings often depicted intimate domestic moments, sensitive character studies, and evocative natural landscapes, contributing to the rich artistic output of her era. Her works are preserved in various Polish museums and private collections.
