Atwima-Nwabiagya North (Ghana parliament constituency) is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post electoral system. The constituency is located within the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly area in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
History
The Atwima-Nwabiagya North constituency was created prior to the 2004 Ghanaian general election. It was carved out of the former Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency, which was subsequently divided into Atwima-Nwabiagya North and Atwima-Nwabiagya South. This division was enacted to accommodate population growth and ensure more effective representation within the rapidly developing Atwima Nwabiagya area.Geographical Scope
