Atli Knútsson

Atli Knútsson (born 29 January 1999) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Keflavík in the Besta deild karla.

Career

Club Career Atli Knútsson began his football career in the youth ranks of KR Reykjavík, one of Iceland's most successful clubs. He progressed through their academy and made his senior team debut for KR.

To gain more first-team experience, Knútsson had a loan spell with ÍBV (Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja) in 2018. Upon returning to KR, he continued to develop before making a move to Valur, another prominent Icelandic club, in 2020.

After his time at Valur, Knútsson joined Stjarnan for the 2022 and early 2023 seasons. In July 2023, he transferred to Keflavík, where he continues his professional career in the top tier of Icelandic football.

International Career Atli Knútsson has represented Iceland at various youth international levels. He has featured for the U17, U19, and U21 national teams, showcasing his talent on the international stage during his development years.
