Asian Kung-Fu Generation (abbreviated AKG) is a Japanese rock band formed in 1996 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. The group consists of four members:

History

In 2004, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released their second studio album, Sol-fa, which reached number one on the Oricon Albums Chart and achieved platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). The album is noted for its lead single “Rewrite,” also used as an opening theme for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist.
