Arundhati is a 2014 Indian Bengali-language supernatural horror fantasy action film directed by Sujit Mondal and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and Surinder Films. The film stars Koel Mallick in the lead role as a warrior queen, alongside Indraneil Sengupta. It is a remake of the 2009 Telugu film of the same name.
Plot
The film follows the story of Mishti, a young woman who visits her ancestral home and discovers that she is the reincarnation of her great-grandmother, Rani Arundhati, a 19th-century warrior queen. As she learns about her past life, she must confront the evil black magician Rudra (also known as Kal Rudra), who was responsible for the queen's death and now seeks to kill her reincarnation.

Production
The film was produced on a budget of approximately 6–7 crore INR. Filming began on 24 October 2013, with locations including Bolpur and Kolkata. Koel Mallick underwent training in horse-riding and sword-fighting, with the latter based on the martial art Kalaripayattu, to prepare for her role.
Soundtrack
The music was composed by Jeet Gannguli and Koti, with lyrics by Chandrani Gannguli. The soundtrack includes three tracks:

Release
The film was released on 30 May 2014. It has a running time of 137 minutes and received an A (adults only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification in India.
Awards
Koel Mallick won the Star Jalsha Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film.
