Artviže

Artviže is a small village located in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina in the Littoral region of Slovenia. Situated in the southwestern part of the country, it lies within the traditional region of Inner Carniola (Notranjska), though it is often considered part of the Slovenian Littoral due to its proximity and historical ties. The village is nestled in the Karst Plateau, an area known for its distinctive limestone landscapes, caves, and characteristic vegetation. As with many settlements in this rural region, Artviže's economy has historically been tied to agriculture, forestry, and traditional rural activities. Its geographical position makes it part of the broader administrative area of the Coastal–Karst Statistical Region (Obalno-kraška statistična regija).
