Arturo Sabbadin

Arturo Sabbadin (born 15 July 1955) is an Italian former professional road cyclist. He competed professionally from 1978 to 1988, primarily as a domestique and stage hunter, achieving several notable victories throughout his career.

Career

Sabbadin turned professional in 1978 with the G.B.C.–Itla–TV Color team. He spent the majority of his career with Italian-based teams, known for his consistent performance in both Grand Tours and one-day races. He was often a valuable team player, supporting his leaders, but also seized opportunities for personal glory.

One of his most significant victories came in the 1984 Giro d'Italia, where he won Stage 12. He also achieved success in prominent Italian one-day races, winning the Giro del Veneto and Giro dell'Umbria in 1985, and Coppa Bernocchi and Milano–Vignola in 1986. His career also included stage wins in prestigious stage races such as Tirreno–Adriatico and the Tour de Suisse. Sabbadin retired from professional cycling at the end of the 1988 season.
