Artur Ruciński (born 25 April 1976, Warsaw, Poland) is a Polish operatic baritone, recognized internationally as one of the leading baritones of his generation, particularly noted for his Verdian and bel canto repertoire.
Biography
Ruciński studied at the Warsaw Academy of Music (now the Chopin University of Music). He made his stage debut in 2001 as Papageno in Mozart's The Magic Flute with the Warsaw Chamber Opera. In 2002, he debuted at the Warsaw National Theatre in the title role of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, a role he later reprised with the Berlin State Opera.

Ruciński's career quickly expanded across major European and American opera houses. His roles have included:

- Prince Yeletsky in Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades
- Marcello in Puccini's La bohème
- Riccardo in Bellini's I puritani
- Valentin in Gounod's Faust

Key Milestones
- January 2012 – UK debut at St John's, Smith Square, London, performing opera arias and Tadeusz Baird's Four Love Sonnets (settings of Polish translations of Shakespeare).
- May 2012 – American debut as Marcello in La bohème with the LA Opera.
- February 2016 – Debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Sharpless in Madama Butterfly; returned in 2019 as Germont (La Traviata) and Lescaut (Manon).
- He has also performed at the Opéra national de Paris, Teatro Real de Madrid, Rome Opera, and other leading international venues.
Repertoire
Beyond opera, Ruciński performs concert works ranging from Handel's Messiah to Penderecki's St. Luke Passion. He appears on a DVD live recording of Verdi's I masnadieri (released January 2013).
