Army Wives is a 1944 American romantic comedy film directed by Phil Rosen. The screenplay was written by B. Harrison Orkow, based on a story by Joel Levy Jr., and the film was produced by Lindsley Parsons. It was released on December 6, 1944, with a running time of 68 minutes.
Plot
When Jerry Van Dyke, a young debutante, decides to marry Barney, an Army corporal whom she met at a USO dance, her family objects. Consequently, the couple are unable to obtain a marriage license because Jerry does not come of age for four days. When Barney leaves for camp in Kentucky, Jerry follows him there with Louise, the young Army bride of Mike, one of the soldiers in Barney's unit.
