Arkansas Highway 73

Arkansas Highway 73 (AR 73, Hwy. 73) is a 7.02-mile (11.30 km) east–west [[state highway]] in [[Boone County, Arkansas]]. The route connects [[U.S. Route 62]]/[[U.S. Route 65]] near [[Bellefonte, Arkansas]] to [[Arkansas Highway 123]] near Gaither.

Route Description AR 73 begins at an intersection with US 62/US 65 in the unincorporated community of Bellefonte, located north of [[Harrison, Arkansas]]. From its western terminus, the highway travels eastward through a predominantly rural, forested landscape within Boone County. The route primarily serves as a local connector, providing access for residents and agricultural operations in the area. It does not pass through any other incorporated towns or significant population centers along its short span. AR 73's eastern terminus is at an intersection with AR 123, a north–south state highway, in the vicinity of the unincorporated community of Gaither.

History Arkansas Highway 73 was established by the [[Arkansas Department of Transportation]] (ArDOT) as part of the state's extensive highway system. Its designation has consistently aimed to provide essential local connectivity between the major north-south arteries of US 62/65 and AR 123 in eastern Boone County.
