Anwar Rasheed (born 5 July 1975) is an Indian film director and producer who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He began his career as a film producer in the early 2000s, co‑founding the production company Anwar Rasheed Productions, which produced a number of commercially successful Malayalam films such as “Big B” (2007) and “Mulla” (2008).
Rasheed made his directorial debut with the crime‑drama “Ustad Hotel” (2012), which received critical acclaim and won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. His subsequent directorial projects include “Kismath” (2016) and “Honey Bee” (2013) (produced) and “Anuraga Karikkin Vellam” (2016) (produced).
He has been recognized with several industry awards, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film (as a producer) for “Ustad Hotel.” Rasheed continues to be active in the Malayalam film industry, contributing as both a director and a producer.
