Anton Moeliono (1925 – 1999) was an Indonesian linguist, philologist, and academic known for his contributions to the development of the Indonesian language, including work on orthography, grammar, and lexicography.

Born on 24 November 1925 in Surakarta, Central Java, Anton Moeliono pursued higher education in Dutch colonial institutions and later at the University of Indonesia, where he earned his doctorate in linguistics. He served as a professor of Indonesian language and literature at the University of Indonesia and held various positions within governmental language bodies. Moeliono was instrumental in the revision of Indonesian spelling rules (Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan, EYD) and contributed to the compilation of the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language). His scholarly works include Pedoman Bahasa Indonesia (Guidelines for Indonesian Language) and Struktur Bahasa Indonesia (Structure of the Indonesian Language). He was recognized for promoting scientific terminology in Indonesian and for advocating the standardization of language education. Moeliono passed away on 7 July 1999.
