Antoine Hastoy (born 4 June 1997) is a French professional rugby union player who plays as a fly-half (and occasionally fullback) for Top 14 club La Rochelle and the France national team.
Early Life
Hastoy was born on 4 June 1997 in Bayonne, France, and was raised in the Pau area. He began playing rugby at the age of six with the Billère–Lescar amateur club and joined the Pau academy in 2011.
Club Career
Pau (2016–2022)
Hastoy made his professional debut for Pau on 21 May 2016, coming off the bench in an away loss to Racing 92. Over six seasons with the club, he played 102 matches and scored 763 points. He played his hundredth match for Pau on 30 April 2022.
La Rochelle (2022–present)
After eleven years with Pau, Hastoy moved to La Rochelle in 2022. In his first season, he started at fly-half in the 2022–23 European Rugby Champions Cup final, helping La Rochelle defeat Leinster to win the title.
In November 2025, Hastoy received the fastest red card in Top 14 history, being sent off after only 34 seconds for a dangerous challenge in which his studs connected with an opponent while contesting a high ball.
International Career
Hastoy was first called up to the French national team by head coach Fabien Galthié in June 2021 for the summer tour of Australia. He made his international debut on 17 July 2021 in a loss against the Wallabies. As of July 2025, he has earned 10 caps and scored 30 points for France. He scored his first international try on 14 September 2023 against Uruguay during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
