Anthurium silanchense is a species of plant in the family Araceae. It was described by Croat & J.Rodr. and published in Aroideana 18: 130–132 in 1995 (published 1996).
Distribution and habitat: The species is endemic to Ecuador, where its native range is restricted. It grows as an epiphytic subshrub primarily in wet tropical biomes, specifically in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
Description: The plant is epiphytic, with stems reaching up to 50 cm in length. It has few roots per node, which dry to a dark brown color with grayish pubescence and are long wooly-pubescent. The internodes are 4–6 cm long and 1–1.5 cm in diameter, promptly drying to a glossy, closely wrinkled (both vertically and transversely), thick, tan-brown appearance. Cataphylls are subcoriaceous, sharply 1-ribbed, and up to 12 cm long.
Conservation status: Anthurium silanchense is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List (IUCN 3.1). It is threatened by habitat loss.
