Anna Torv (born June 7, 1979) is an Australian actress. She is best known for her role as FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham in the Fox science fiction television series Fringe (2008–2013), for which she received a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series and was nominated for four Saturn Awards for Best Actress on Television.
Torv's other notable roles include Virginia Grey in the HBO miniseries The Pacific (2010), Wendy Carr in the Netflix crime thriller series Mindhunter (2017–2019), and Theresa Lisbon in the Australian television series Secret City (2016–2019). She has also appeared in films such as The Daughter (2015) and Stephanie (2017), as well as voice acting roles in video games and animated series.
Torv graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2001 and began her acting career in Australian television before gaining international recognition for her work on Fringe. Her performances are often praised for their nuanced portrayal of complex characters.
