Anna Auvinen

Anna Auvinen (born March 2, 1987) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a defender. She spent the majority of her career in the Finnish Naisten Liiga, also having played professionally in Sweden and Italy, and represented the Finland women's national football team.

Early Life and Club Career

Auvinen began her senior club career in Finland, playing for several prominent teams in the Naisten Liiga (now Kansallinen Liiga), the top division of women's football in Finland. She was known for her defensive prowess and leadership on the field.

Her club career included stints with:

  • HJK Helsinki: Auvinen played for one of Finland's most successful clubs, contributing to their domestic campaigns.
  • FC Honka: She later moved to FC Honka, another leading team in the Finnish league, where she continued to be a key player.
  • PK-35 Vantaa: Auvinen also represented PK-35 Vantaa, a club that has consistently been a strong contender in the Naisten Liiga.
  • TPS: She played for Turun Palloseura (TPS).
