Angelo Alessandri (born 29 September 1969 in Reggio Emilia, Italy) is an Italian politician. He served as the federal president of the Lega Nord (Northern League) from 19 March 2005 until 5 April 2012 and was a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies from 28 April 2006 to 14 March 2013.

Alessandri was raised in Reggio Emilia. He completed a technical institute diploma for surveyors and later worked as an artisan.
Political career

Lega Nord – Joined the party in 1989. He became provincial secretary of Lega Nord in Reggio Emilia in 1997 and, in 2001, was elected national secretary of Lega Nord Emilia, a position he held for eleven years. In 2005 he was elected federal president of the Lega Nord, succeeding Luciano Gasperini, and remained in office until April 2012, when Umberto Bossi succeeded him.

Parliamentary service – Elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the 2006 general election and re‑elected in 2008. He represented the Emilia‑Romagna constituency. During his tenure he served on the XIII Permanent Commission (Agriculture) and on the parliamentary commission overseeing the tax registry. From 22 May 2008 to 14 March 2013 he chaired the 8th Commission for Environment, Territory and Public Works.

Local elections – In the 2009 municipal elections he ran for mayor of Reggio Emilia, supported by Lega Nord and a civic list named “Cambiare”. He obtained 18.24 % of the vote and was defeated in the first round by the incumbent mayor, Graziano Delrio.
