Andrew "Andy" Harries (born 1960) is a British television producer and executive, widely recognized for his significant contributions to British and international television drama. He is the founder and chief executive of Left Bank Pictures, a production company behind acclaimed series such as The Crown, Wallander, and Quiz.
Born in Manchester, England, Harries began his career in television following his education. He rose through the ranks at Granada Television, eventually becoming Controller of Drama, Comedy, and Film for ITV Productions (Granada's successor). In this role, he oversaw the development and production of numerous successful and critically acclaimed series, including popular shows like Cold Feet, The Royle Family, The Street, and long-running serials like Coronation Street. His tenure at Granada/ITV marked a period of strong creative output for British television.
