Andrew Moran (born 15 October 2003) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Championship club Blackburn Rovers, on loan from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth international levels.
Early Life and Career Moran began his youth career in Ireland with Bray Wanderers. His performances attracted attention from clubs across the Irish Sea, and he eventually joined the academy of English club Brighton & Hove Albion.
Club Career Brighton & Hove Albion Moran progressed through the youth ranks at Brighton, becoming a prominent player for their U18 and U21 teams. He signed his first professional contract with the club in 2021. He made his senior debut for Brighton on 24 August 2021, coming on as a substitute in a 2–0 EFL Cup victory against Cardiff City. His Premier League debut followed on 11 November 2022, when he appeared as a substitute in a match against Arsenal. Moran gained further senior experience featuring in cup competitions for Brighton.
Blackburn Rovers (loan) On 10 August 2023, Moran joined Championship club Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan deal. He quickly established himself as a creative force in the midfield for Rovers, contributing goals and assists and becoming a regular starter.
International Career Moran has represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth levels, including the U19 and U21 teams. He has been a consistent presence in the Irish youth setups, participating in qualification campaigns and friendly matches.
