Andrew Fekete (born 18 May 1985) is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played for Tasmania and various Big Bash League (BBL) franchises. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he was known for his consistency, ability to generate seam movement, and lively pace.
Early Life and Career
Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Fekete began his cricketing career in his home state, representing New South Wales at various junior and Second XI levels. He made his List A debut for New South Wales in the 2009–10 season.Domestic Career
Seeking more opportunities in first-class cricket, Fekete moved to Tasmania ahead of the 2013–14 season. He quickly became a pivotal member of the Tasmanian Tigers' Sheffield Shield team, Australia's premier domestic first-class competition. His strong performances, including several five-wicket hauls, established him as one of the leading pace bowlers in the competition.In the Big Bash League, Australia's domestic Twenty20 competition, Fekete represented both the Sydney Thunder and the Melbourne Renegades. He contributed with his accurate bowling and ability to pick up crucial wickets in the fast-paced format.
